What is Alpha?

Alpha is an eleven-week opportunity to explore the Christian faith, ask honest questions, and have some good conversations along the way. Each week, we look at a different question about faith, Jesus, God, and what it might mean to follow Him.

You don't need to know the Bible. You don't need to have the right answers. And you definitely don't need to pretend you've got it all figured out.

Alpha is a place where you can come as you are, listen, talk, disagree, wonder, and ask the questions you've been afraid to ask. No question is too big, too small, too simple, or too complicated. Your questions and your story matter just as much as anyone else's.

Come curious. Come skeptical. Come hopeful.

There's a seat at the table for you.

Doing life comes with questions. Alpha is a safe place for deeper conversations

What to Expect

There isn't a lot of ceremony at Alpha. We get together, share a meal, watch a short video, explore some of life's biggest questions, and talk about what we're thinking. That's really the heart of it. Every Alpha gathering has three simple things in common: food, a talk, and good conversation.

We start around the table because something good happens when people eat together. Food has a way of slowing us down, helping us relax, and making it easier to get to know one another. So come hungry. Grab a plate. Find a seat. Get to know some people.

We'll watch a short video that explores a different question about faith and Christianity. The talks are designed to be engaging and approachable, covering questions like Who is Jesus? Why did He die? How can we have faith? And why and how should I pray? You don't need to know anything about Christianity to come. Just bring your curiosity.

This may be the most important part of Alpha. After the talk, we gather in small groups and talk about what we heard. You can share what you think, ask questions, disagree, or simply listen. There's no pressure to have an answer—and no question is off limits. We believe honest questions are a good thing. So pull up a chair, bring your questions, and join the conversation. Come as you are. Come curious. There's a place for you at the table.
